Russian engineers got involved into the metro construction in Ho Chi Minh
Deputy PM of the Russian Federation Maxim Akimov announced that Russian specialists are ready to take part in the construction of the metro system in Vietnam.
The government-to-government discussion on the design of the future metro line (above ground) happened in October 2019. According to the report, transport infrastructure development, agricultural development, and other economy-related questions were the focus of this meeting. The development of the light-rail line for the Ho Shi Min metro system might get the involvement of the Russian-Vietnamese Investment Fund if established as a result of the discussion.
The implementation of the possible project is for OAO Mosmetrostroy and Long Lo companies to do in cooperation. Maxim Akimov’s representative noted that while the matter is under consideration for economic reasons, the development of the feasibility study will be implemented through private investment. Ho Chi Minh growths rapidly, and it needs a vast metro system as well as the large cities in Russia. A lot of work to do for both countries.
